Ask a new question. Hi, I updated my windows 10 to version 20h2 after prompted by windows, but while I read that it was a 3Gb update. I checked my disk size after the installation and I had lost more than 20GB and I tried it at another pc with 25Gb free space and the update won't be installed because of insufficient disk space.

Hi DeveM and thank you for your help, I run the software you told me about and found two Windows folders is this normal? Thank you but I guess this was there before, I don't understand how I lost all of this space due to an update of 5Gb. Ok thank you DaveM I will let the windows system to clean the necessary file on its own.

Old folder contains the old version of Windows 10, which would allow you to roll back to that version if your system was not stable after the update You cannot manually remove that folder, here are the steps to delete that folder: Open File Explorer Click on your hard drive On the Manage Tab - Disk Tools, click Cleanup Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan Select Everything in the list and choose Delete Start Disk Cleanup again Let Disk Cleanup do its initial scan Important - This time in the resulting dialog, click 'Cleanup System Files' Let Disk Cleanup run another scan Select Everything in the list and choose Delete.

Hi nikos That folder was created by the update, this is normal with the large Feature updates, the whole Windows folder has been backed up into that folder and it does need to be removed, if you are happy with the new update, it will automatically be deleted after 10 days anyway.
